Dr. Taylor Ferrier
Medical Director and practicing physician
Dr. Taylor Ferrier is a family physician and the Medical Director at Tay River Health Centre. Ferrier studied medicine at the University of Ottawa, graduating in 2015 and completing his residency at Toronto Western and Mount Sinai Hospitals.

Dr. Ferrier first visited Perth while camping during his undergraduate studies, and he immediately fell in love with the town and the region's natural beauty. With Perth’s close proximity to the city and a supportive, knowledgeable medical community, Ferrier and his wife chose to settle in the area. Ferrier enjoys the full-scope of practice and the continuity of care that practicing in Perth permits.

When he’s not working at Tay River Health Centre, Dr. Ferrier works in Long Term Care and sees patients in hospital and the ICU.

Dr. Marcus Lai
Dr. Marcus Lai is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Dr. Lai studied medicine at McMaster University and completed his residency at the University of Toronto. After working in Perth for the past three years, Dr. Lai has developed a deep appreciation for our community and the medical opportunities this region provides. In contrast to the anonymity of larger cities, Dr. Lai appreciates having his patients and colleagues as neighbours, which creates a strong sense of community that he has felt nowhere elsewhere.

In addition to Tay River Health Centre, Dr. Lai also works at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital providing care to inpatients and supports patients in long term care.
Dr. Tony Li
Dr. Tony Li is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. He studied medicine at the University of Ottawa and completed his residency at McMaster University. After spending a few months in Perth during his residency, Dr. Li immediately fell in love with the community and the passionate healthcare team we have here in Perth. He is excited to join the team at Tay River Health Centre.
In addition to seeing patients in clinic, Dr. Li supports inpatients and works in the ER at the GWM site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
Dr. Andrew Oh
Dr. Andrew Oh is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Originally from Korea, Dr. Oh studied medicine and completed his residency at McMaster University in 2018. Upon first visiting the region while on rural rotation, Dr. Oh found Perth offered a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city. He is pleased to join the medical team here in Perth and looks forward to putting down roots in our beautiful town.

When he isn’t working at Tay River Health Centre, Dr. Oh cares for inpatients at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, provides palliative care and MAiD to patients in the community.
Dr. Rocky Purewal
Dr. Rocky Purewal is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Dr. Purewal obtained his medical degree through Queens University and completed his residency at the University of Ottawa.
With family in the Ottawa Valley, Dr. Purewal is fond of the region and has always appreciated the relaxed culture and close proximity to nature. Dr. Purewal had the pleasure of visiting Perth as a resident and learning from local doctors and nurses. This experience gave him an appreciation for working in a small community and for the friendly and approachable disposition of our local medical team. To Dr. Purewal, having the ability to provide continuous care to patients in the community is what family medicine is all about.

When Dr. Purewal isn’t busy with patients at the Tay River Health Centre, he cares for inpatients at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, and residents of Lanark Lifestyles Retirement Home.
Dr. Christina Riehl
Dr. Christina Riehl is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Dr. Riehl obtained her B.Sc. in Kinesiology at Western University and medical school at McMaster University in 2016. After completing residency at the University of Ottawa, she anticipated wanting to move back to Toronto. However, after providing a local family physician with maternity leave coverage, her interest to practice medicine in a rural area was piqued. She enjoyed working in Perth so much so that she jumped at the opportunity to take on a departing physician’s practice in 2019.
Dr. Riehl appreciates the broad scope of practice that working in Perth provides – she manages inpatients and works in the ER at the GWM site of the PSFDH. Occasionally she sees newborns on the obstetrical unit in Smiths Falls and is hoping to provide palliative care services in the near future.
The most rewarding part of practicing family medicine in Perth for Dr. Riehl is the continuity of care she provides and the trusting relationships she has built with patients – why she chose to become a family physician.
Dr. Richard Seaby
Dr. Richard Peter Seaby is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Dr. Seaby, or ‘Pete’ as he is known by, is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. He completed both his undergraduate and Masters studies at the University of Guelph before travelling to study medicine at the University of Queensland in Australia. After returning to Canada, Dr. Seaby completed his residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Having been born and raised in Kanata, Dr. Seaby has always appreciated the town of Perth for its proximity to family and a wide variety of medical opportunities. Dr. Seaby works as an emergency department physician and hospitalist at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, as well as at Perth Community Care Nursing Home.
Dr. Jade Sillick
Dr. Jade Sillick is a family physician at Tay River Health Centre. Dr. Sillick graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2013, completing the McMaster Rural Program in Grimsby, Ontario in 2015. After practicing rurally in Niagara for 6 years, Dr. Sillick relocated to Perth in order to be closer to family and to enjoy the best of country living.

Dr. Sillick focuses on inpatient, newborn, ER care as well as palliative care, and enjoys the continuity of care she is able to provide to her patients and their families here in Perth.
Dr. Anil Kuchinad
Having completed medical school at the University of Toronto in 2011, Dr. Kuchinad did his residency at McGill University, finishing in 2013.

Since 2014, Dr. Kuchinad enjoys practicing in this rural community because of the great teaching program it offers, the supportive colleagues, and the ability to practice the full scope of family medicine. In addition to his family practice, Dr. Kuchinad works in the ER department of the GWM site of the PSFDH, provides hospitalist and surgical assist services, offers memory testing, and consultations for Medical Assistance in Dying to patients in the community.
Dr. Kuchinad is an assistant professor to the adjunct academic staff at Queen's University and the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Christine Last
Dr. Christine Last is a family physician who joined the Tay River team in January 2024. Dr. Last completed medical school and residency at the University of Ottawa. Looking for a location that supported the community feel and where she could foster strong connections with patients and deliver personalized care, Dr. Last chose to move to Perth and set up her practice in 2014. She values the support she receives from colleagues and the community at large. An outdoor enthusiast, she also enjoys the natural beauty and abundance of lakes and hiking trails the area has to offer.
When not in clinic, Dr. Last assists in the operating room with gynecological surgeries, provides on-call services for the PSFDH obstetrics department, and hospitalist coverage for patients in hospital.

Alex Jordan
Registered Practical Nurse
Born and raised in Lanark County, Alex and her young family live in Perth. Throughout her rewarding career as a registered practical nurse, she has enjoyed giving back to her community. Alex is excited to start this new chapter as the lead nurse at the Tay River Health Centre.
Alicia Giff
Registered Practical Nurse
Caring for others has always Alicia's passion. Prior to finishing her RPN program, Alicia completed a degree in community health at Brock University. Originally from Brockville, she is raising her young family in Lombardy, just outside of Perth. She cannot wait to be one of the faces you meet when visiting the Tay River Health Centre.
Krista Craig
Administrative
LEAD
Born and raised in Lombardy, Krista lives in Merrickville and has worked in health care for over 23 years. She is a PSW, child and youth worker and is also trained in office administration.
Krista enjoys the fast pace of the medical clinic and working alongside a strong team. She thrives on helping patients along their healthcare journey.
Jocelyn Murphy

Receptionist
Born and raised in Smiths Falls, Jocelyn has worked in health care since 2005, starting as a PSW in long term care and homecare and moving to reception and administration. A life-long learner, Jocelyn holds several diplomas and certificates in the healthcare field and is passionate about patient-centered care.
Kathryn Ransom-Hodges
Executive director
Kathryn Ransom-Hodges, a native Montrealer who is fluently bilingual, holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University. She worked as an Account Manager in the advertising industry for many years both in Toronto and Montreal before relocating to Perth with her physician husband and young family in 2014.
Kathryn served as the Chair of a local not-for-profit school for over three years before taking on the role of Manager of the Medical Clinic and Tay River Health Centre facility as a whole. She is passionate about relationship-building, client service, and critical thinking. As an effective organizer, communicator and liaison, tenants and clients of Tay River Health Centre will be very well supported.
